Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much do your uniforms cost?
A: The average cost for a complete uniform is roughly $75.00 per skater. A complete uniform includes a top and a bottom. For an accurate quote, fill out form here: http://irondollclothing.com/request-a-quote or contact quotes@irondollclothing.com
Q: Do price quotes include name and number?
A: Yes, price quote includes a 1-color name, number, and basic front logo. Actual uniform cost is based on style, customizations, and artwork. Sleeve numbers and other artwork can be added at an additional cost.
Q: How do you customize the uniforms?
A: Names, numbers, front logos, and any additional artwork is done with heat transferrable vinyl, provided by my great friends Wicked Skatewear. For the best results at the right price, logos should be 1-2 colors max.
Q: What is your turn around time?
A: Because all uniforms are made to order, cut, and customized individually, uniforms take 4 – 6 weeks to complete. The start date being the date the order is placed with all necessary information, artwork, and deposit. 4 – 6 weeks does not include shipping time.
Q: Are there any minimums?
A: There are no minimums per style, but teams are encouraged to limit their skaters to 3 top styles, 3 bottom styles.
Q: Can I reorder 1-2 pieces for new recruits later in the season?
A: Absolutely. Reorders take about 3-4 weeks to complete.
Q: Can I get an existing style with a different neckline or sleeve?
A: We cannot alter existing styles from Iron Doll Classic. Most styles are offered with a variety of sleeves and lengths to cater to individuals’ style preference. Iron Doll Custom, however, can cater to teams who still don’t quite see what they are looking for.
Q: How do I give you my skaters’ sizes?
A: Iron Doll will send you sample sets for your skaters to try on and select their size. Sample sets include a complete size run of XS-3XL (pending availability). Sample sets require a $50 deposit per style. Once samples have been returned, the deposit will be applied to your order or returned should you choose not to order. For teams that do not have time for the sizing process, Iron Doll offers size charts for each style. Iron Doll’s employees will not choose sizes based on measurements, it is up to the skater to select their size based on sample sets or size charts.
Q: What if I need a smaller or bigger size than what you offer?
A: Iron Doll can customize individuals uniforms for a fee of $5-$15, depending on what is needed done.
Q: How do I choose the right color for my uniform?
A: Fabric swatches are shipped with sample sets or mailed separately for color approval.
Q: What if you made a mistake on our order?
A: Customer is responsible for reviewing the final order form prior to uniform production. If changes or errors occur after final customer approval, Iron Doll can remake and exchange the uniform for 50% of the original cost. If Iron Doll makes an error to a name, number, size, or specific request, we will exchange the uniform at no cost. Incorrect uniforms must be returned to Iron Doll within 30 days or the customer will be charged for a new uniform. We will repair any manufacturer defects at no cost for up to 1 year from the date you received the product. Iron Doll cannot repair damages that occur from wear and tear. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: Iron Doll accepts check, payment via paypal, and credit card.
Q: How long can I expect these uniforms to last?
A: As you can imagine, a brutal, heavy contact sport such as roller derby can be quite hard on both you and your uniforms. Knowing the kind of hits your apparel can take over the course of a season, Iron Doll has selected the most durable fabrics and design implements possible, and balanced this with a competitive price point that won’t break the bank if one of your uniform pieces takes a beating. One helpful suggestion for maximizing the crispness of your uniform is to protect the scratchy velcro of your elbow pads so that it won’t create a “pilling” effect when it rubs against the fabric along the sides of your ribs. With proper care, your uniform could easily last several seasons.
Q: What are the washing instructions?
A: Hand wash or cold water machine wash, line dry or low heat tumble dry, LOW heat iron (do not press heat transfers), do not bleach, suitable for dry clean.
