Rat City’s home team, the Sockit Wenches, first approached Iron Doll at Westerns 2010 in hopes of new uniforms for the start of their upcoming season. They liked the mechanic style of their existing uniforms but had some issues they wanted tweaked. Soon after, a second home team known as the Throttle Rockets approached Iron Doll for a completely new cosmic look of their own. Immediately after came Derby Liberation Front wanting to tighten up their militant style as well. Skating in front of crowds of up to 7,000 people, the teams needed to feel confident, comfortable, and stylish. Iron Doll developed custom uniforms for the Sockit Wenches and the Throttle Rockets, working closely on sketches and development until both teams were satisfied. DLF chose two existing styles from the Iron Doll Classic collection and added some flare of their own to complete their new attire. The new uniforms were debuted by the three home teams in January of 2011, the start of Rat City’s 7th home season. You can see more photos of the Sockit Wenches and the Throttle Rockets under Iron Doll Custom, and photos of DLF under Iron Doll Classic. Big thanks to Rat City for their continued support! And big thanks to Jules Doyle for taking amazing photographs of all the uniforms throughout the season!
